Dubai International Financial Centre Hosts A Global FinTech Summit!

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and President of DIFC, has announced the launch of the Dubai FinTech Summit. The international event will bring together more than 5,000 experts, thought leaders, policymakers, and elected officials in Dubai.

The Dubai FinTech Summit is organized by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and will take place in Dubai on May 8-9, 2023. The event will feature keynotes from some of the world’s most prominent figures in the industry, sharing their perspectives on the industry’s challenges and highlighting ways in which people, businesses and economies can benefit from FinTech.

DIFC is home to the largest cluster of FinTech and innovation companies in the region and is one of the fastest-growing locations in the international FinTech market. It was estimated to be worth more than USD 135.9 billion in 2021. The global market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 11.9% between 2022 and 2027, reaching a value of over USD 266.9 billion by 2027.

We already have over 600 FinTech and innovation companies in the DIFC that are changing the face of the industry and contributing to our country’s economic growth. The 23 per cent growth that the DIFC’s FinTech community has seen in the first half of this year is a testament to the dynamic, pro-growth platform we provide to financial companies worldwide.”

The Summit’s agenda includes in-depth discussions on the future of FinTech, embedded and open finance, sustainability, Web 3.0 and digital assets. The Summit will also provide an opportunity for more than 100 FinTechs and players in the financial future to showcase their latest technologies and innovations.
