Apple introduced a few innovations to Apple Pay at last year’s WWDC. Among them is the ability to track purchases and their status directly within the Wallet app. Apple Pay Later is a new feature that should have been introduced a long time ago. You may know a similar part from PayPal or Amazon.
With Apple Pay Later, you can divide your purchase into four equal parts and pay without additional interest within six weeks. The whole thing is supposed to work online and for apps or in-app purchases as soon as you want to pay with Apple Pay.
Tim Cook said in an interview with CNBC that the feature would be available “soon”. For those who are now excited, I have to put a damper on things. If you look at the fine print, you will see that the feature will only be available to customers in the US (for now). In this country, they have undoubtedly yet to find or look for a partner for the processing.
