In July, Isabella Frey joined Erste Group‘s in-house fintech unit as a new co-managing director. Frey has been a driving force in the development of the George app, the mobile interface of Erste’s George banking platform, since 2012, according to Erste Group. She now joins fellow managing director Stefan Häbich as part of the two-person George Labs leadership team.
In her new role, Isabella Frey reports to Erste Group‘s Chief Platform Officer, Maurizio Poletto. She took over the role of Martin Kobza, who was appointed to the management board of Erste Group‘s Czech subsidiary bank, Česká spořitelna, as COO last November.
