Klaus Meyer is taking over as Head of the Commercial Finance business of Siemens Financial Services in Germany. The 42-year-old manager joins Siemens Financial Services (SFS) from Commerz Real Mobilienleasing GmbH in Düsseldorf. He has already been working for the financial services provider since June 1, 2022, and is to take over as head of the commercial finance business in Germany on October 1, 2022.
Meyer is to succeed Kai-Otto Landwehr, who has developed SFS’s commercial finance business into one of the leading equipment leasing companies in Germany over the past two decades and is now retiring at 62.
In the year of SFS’s 25th anniversary, Meyer wants to build on the successful development of the unit under his predecessor, with a particular focus on product innovation, digitalization, and sustainability.
“At SFS, we have the necessary technology and financial expertise to develop innovative and sustainable financing solutions for our customer’s challenges.”
“For the digital transformation and decarbonization of our economy, companies need intelligent and flexible financing models that enable them to realize their investments in a way that preserves liquidity,” explained Veronika Bienert, CEO of Siemens Financial Services. “We are convinced that Klaus Meyer and his team will consistently develop our financing offering in this environment.”
Meyer brings a wealth of experience to this venture: He has worked for Commerz Real Group since 2007, most recently as Managing Director of Commerz Real Mobilienleasing GmbH until his move to SFS.
