Federal Councilor Ueli Maurer has been named FinTech Influencer of the Year at the Swiss FinTech Awards. He is being honored for promoting Switzerland as a financial center. Initiatives such as the fintech sandbox and approval or the strategic forum for open finance have been mentioned as his merits. In addition, the start-ups Stableton and DeepJudge have been awarded.
The Swiss FinTech Awards also honored outstanding start-ups from the Swiss fintech scene. In the Growth Stage Start-up of the Year category, Stableton Financial won. The Zug-based company offers a marketplace for alternative investments. Investors can also invest in companies not yet listed on the stock exchange.
In the Early Stage Start-up of the Year category, the Zurich-based start-up DeepJudge was named the winner. DeepJuge has developed an artificial intelligence for semantic search and intelligent processing of legal documents. The solution is designed to help users understand relevant legal concepts.
The Swiss FinTech Awards were presented for the seventh time on June 29. The jury is made up of 20 fintech experts. The Swiss FinTech Awards, launched by the newspaper “Finanz und Wirtschaft” and Accenture, aims to promote Swiss innovators and strengthen the fintech ecosystem.
