Zurich-based Swiss Fintech AG d/b/a Loanboox (website) brings German fintech celebrities onto its board of directors. The financing platform is also expanding its team in its northern neighbor. The German-Swiss insurtech Wefox is already considered a valuation unicorn, and Loanboox has now been able to recruit former Wefox CEO Oliver Lang as a board member.
Loanboox is the leading European platform for debt financing and recently recruited Raphael Schoettler as managing director for its team in Germany. The former Deutsche Banker is expected to help drive growth in the northern neighbor.
The newly-assigned Lang has many years of experience founding and leading various insurance and risk management startups. The German started his career at McKinsey & Company; in mid-2021, he left his post as head of Wefox, where general manager David Stachon succeeded him as a Chief Operating Officer (COO).
